Fortunately for Alpha (and the planet), he was rescued by Dr. Manelo Mubari before BCT could deliver a lethal "knowledge shock" dose. Now, living in the heart of the Amazon, Alpha uses his enhanced brainpower to protect his home from the likes of Bossman and his destructive machinery.
Lateral Thinking: Why Alpha is the Team's Secret Weapon
While Tom "Primal" Swift handles the heavy lifting, Alpha is usually three steps ahead, literally. Being an orangutan gives him a vantage point that no human can match. Location: High Canopy, Sector 7
Status: Humans are loud. Tom is currently trying to use "strength" to open a reinforced crate. I have already pointed out the latch three times using sign language. He is ignoring me. I will wait until he is tired, then I will open it in two seconds.
Observation: The metallic "birds" (drones) sent by Bossman are getting shinier. They are also easier to knock out of the air with a well-aimed coconut. I have calculated the trajectory for maximum impact.
Note to Self: Remind Dr. Mubari that we are low on dried bananas. If we run out before we reach the Giza site, the "team synergy" will drop by 40%. Humans are very cranky when they are hungry. I do not have this problem. I have a secret stash in my harness.
Mission Objective: Stay alert. The Spirit Tree feels… restless. The humans think with their ears and eyes, but the forest thinks with its roots. I can feel the shift. Something big is coming.
