After uncovering strange German radio signals using equipment salvaged from a crashed Haunebu II spacecraft, West flees to Cape Canaveral. Using his government contacts, he commandeers a rocket and launches into space to follow the signal to an abandoned Nazi moonbase. The Rainsavers reactivate the Haunebu II and follow West to the dark side of the moon, where they discover a cryogenically preserved scientist, Dr. Konrad Düstermann, and his army of super-soldiers.
West uses Primal’s DNA to transform into Mortalis, a terrifying being of unmatched strength and cruelty. Mortalis escapes to Egypt, where he activates a red mercury fusion reactor beneath the Giza Pyramid, draining the Nile and threatening millions of lives. The Rainsavers stop the disaster, but Mortalis escapes to the Amazon to claim the Spirit Tree, setting the stage for the ultimate showdown.
