DOCUMENT STATUS: Official
AUTHOR: Alpha, Orangenius, Snack Logistics Director, Vine Inspection Specialist
LOCATION: Rainsavers jungle headquarters
SECURITY LEVEL: Very secret
EXCEPTIONS: One drone, two toucans, and possibly that vine
OOPS COUNT: Already three, and the meeting has not started
Meeting Objective
Protect the rainforest.
Also:
- Prevent Bossman from doing anything suspicious with fire.
- Determine whether the vines near the east lookout are ordinary vines or surveillance vines.
- Stop Jungle Dart’s drone from declaring itself an independent nation.
- Remind Dr. Mubari that “just one more experiment” is not a lab safety plan.
- Make sure Primal does not carry the entire headquarters, the canoe, or me to the next emergency.
- Eat snacks before someone says, “We’ll save them for later.”
Important: The snacks are not for later.
I checked.
They are for now.

Item One: Snack Logistics and Emergency Banana Governance
A team cannot protect the Amazon on an empty stomach. This is science. Dr. Mubari may disagree because he believes food should be measured, labeled, and stored in containers that do not have bite marks.
The new snack system is as follows:
- Bananas go in the large basket.
- Plantain chips go in the smaller basket.
- Trail mix goes in the container marked “DO NOT FEED TO THE MONKEYS.”
- The container marked “DO NOT FEED TO THE MONKEYS” must not be left unattended near me.
- Emergency chocolate is for emergencies.
- A suspicious vine touching the emergency chocolate is considered an emergency.
OOPS MOMENT: Someone labeled the banana basket “evidence.” I may have eaten two pieces of evidence while investigating.
I regret nothing.
Action Items
- Alpha: Conduct final snack inspection.
- Sunbyte: Install a timer on the emergency snack cabinet.
- Jungle Dart: Stop using the snack cabinet as a drone landing pad.
- Primal: Please do not lift the snack basket over your head “to test its structural integrity.”
That was yesterday.
The basket is still in a tree.
Item Two: Suspicious Vines Near the East Lookout
At 06:14 this morning, I noticed a vine making a clicking noise.
Vines should not click.
Leaves may rustle. Branches may creak. Certain beetles make noises that suggest tiny arguments. But a vine should not make a clicking noise, pause, and then make the same clicking noise from a different direction.
This is why we are opening an official investigation.
Possible Explanations
- It is a normal vine with excellent rhythm.
- It is a vine growing around a piece of old equipment.
- It is a vine that has learned Morse code.
- It is a Bossman surveillance device disguised as rainforest vegetation.
- It is three vines working together.
- It is a very judgmental plant.
Dr. Mubari says we should not accuse the local flora without evidence. I agree. The rainforest deserves fairness.
However, when a vine turns toward you after you say, “I’m watching you,” fairness becomes more complicated.
Vine Inspection Protocol
- Jungle Dart will observe the area from above.
- Sunbyte will scan for unusual signals.
- Dr. Mubari will examine any samples using proper gloves and equipment.
- Primal will stand nearby in case the vine becomes “physically persuasive.”
- Alpha will remain in charge of asking the important questions.
Question one: Why are you clicking?
Question two: Who sent you?
Question three: Would you like a banana?
OOPS MOMENT: I asked question three before question one. The vine moved closer. This may indicate either trust or excellent snack strategy.
For more information about the team’s history, skills, and various encounters with suspicious technology, consult the official Rainsavers characters page. Please note that the characters page does not currently identify whether vines can be trusted. This is an oversight.
Item Three: Dr. Mubari’s Lab Safety Reminders
Dr. Manelo Mubari, known to the team as Dr. Manaus, is a brilliant scientist, a kind friend, and a person who owns too many bottles with labels such as:
- “Do Not Shake”
- “Do Not Open”
- “Do Not Smell”
- “Seriously, Alpha”
- “This Means You”
I feel targeted.
Dr. Mubari has requested that the entire team review the following safety reminders before entering the lab:
- Wear protective equipment.
- Keep food away from samples.
- Do not touch glowing liquids.
- Do not press buttons simply because they are glowing.
- Do not combine two harmless substances to see if they become “interesting.”
- Do not store field equipment in the specimen refrigerator.
- Do not use the centrifuge to spin grapes.
That last one was Primal.
He said it was “for morale.”

Lab Access Update
The laboratory remains open for approved research, rainforest health monitoring, and emergency medical work. It is not open for:
- Snack storage
- Drone charging
- Weapon polishing
- Practice flexing
- Secret meetings with vines
- Any activity beginning with the words, “Watch this.”
OOPS MOMENT: I may have stamped one of Dr. Mubari’s reports with a banana instead of the official seal. The report now says “APPROVED” in a very convincing fruit shape.
Dr. Mubari is taking this better than expected.
Item Four: Jungle Dart’s Drone Situation
Jungle Dart has described his drone as “a precise aerial intelligence platform.”
The drone has described itself as “free.”
Both statements may be true.
The drone was originally assigned to map illegal clearing routes, monitor river conditions, and watch for suspicious vehicles. It has since:
- Followed a macaw for eleven minutes.
- Landed on Primal’s shoulder during a dramatic briefing.
- Mistaken a waterfall for a hostile signal.
- Broadcast a close-up image of someone’s left elbow.
- Stolen one plantain chip.
- Refused to return to base because it was “enjoying the view.”
- Circled the headquarters while playing a sound that may have been a warning or a tiny electronic laugh.
Jungle Dart insists the drone is still under control.
The drone disagrees by flying into a tree.

Revised Drone Rules
- No autonomous snack missions.
- No landing on team members without permission.
- No following birds unless the bird is carrying critical information.
- No entering Dr. Mubari’s lab.
- No filming Alpha during nap time.
- No declaring independence.
- If the drone declares independence, Sunbyte is authorized to negotiate.
OOPS MOMENT: The drone has just printed a treaty.
It is written in tiny symbols and includes a demand for “unlimited battery privileges.” Sunbyte says this is not legally binding. I say we should read the fine print.
Item Five: Sunbyte’s Technology Notes
Sunbyte has prepared a technology update for the team. Her notes are clear, useful, and only slightly alarming.
Current Status
- Communications harness: operational.
- Long-range signal relay: operational, unless the rain is especially dramatic.
- Field laptop: operational.
- Solar charging rig: operational.
- Drone tracking system: operational but emotionally exhausted.
- East lookout vine scan: inconclusive.
- Emergency snack timer: compromised.
Sunbyte has also reminded us that technology works best when nobody pours juice on it.
This reminder was added after an incident involving a radio, a mango, and what Primal called “a perfectly reasonable shortcut.”
Sunbyte’s work keeps the team connected when missions take us far beyond the rainforest. The Rainsavers’ adventures may begin in the Amazon, but the threats often stretch across the globe, from dangerous experiments and corporate schemes to ancient mysteries and technology better left switched off. You can explore the wider mission through The Rainsavers’ six-book adventure series.

Technology Etiquette
Please remember:
- Ask before borrowing equipment.
- Return borrowed equipment in the same condition.
- “Mostly the same condition” is not the same condition.
- Never name a computer “Little Bossman.”
- If a machine begins whispering, contact Sunbyte immediately.
- If the machine asks for snacks, contact Alpha immediately.
Item Six: Primal’s Carry Protocol
Primal is strong. This is useful during rescues, emergencies, fallen-tree incidents, and situations involving extremely heavy villain equipment.
It is less useful when he decides to carry everyone’s belongings personally.
The official carry protocol is now in effect.
Primal May Carry
- Injured teammates
- Emergency supplies
- Fallen branches blocking evacuation paths
- Heavy scientific equipment, with Dr. Mubari’s permission
- One canoe
- Possibly one small helicopter, if absolutely necessary
Primal May Not Carry
- The entire headquarters
- Three canoes at once
- The snack basket and Alpha simultaneously without a spotter
- A suspicious vine
- Jungle Dart’s drone while it is still running
- Bossman “just to move him somewhere else”
- Anyone who has not asked first
OOPS MOMENT: Primal says the protocol is “too restrictive.”
He is currently carrying the meeting table.
Please put the table down.
No, not on the roof.
Final Decision: The Team Is Still a Team
After reviewing the agenda, we have reached the following conclusions:
- Snacks are mission-critical.
- Suspicious vines require further observation.
- The lab remains a no-mango zone.
- Jungle Dart’s drone needs boundaries, firmware, and possibly counseling.
- Sunbyte is in charge of all devices that can beep.
- Primal is in charge of lifting things only after asking.
- Alpha is in charge of making sure everyone gets home safely.
That last item is not technically assigned to me.
I assigned it to me.
Someone has to.
You can meet the full team, learn where their missions began, and discover how their skills fit together on The Rainsavers’ official website. And if you want to carry a little rainforest adventure with you, visit the Rainsavers shop.
Closing Note from Alpha
The rainforest is not just a setting for our adventures. It is home, to animals, plants, rivers, communities, and countless living things that cannot attend meetings or argue with drones.
So protect it in the real world, too. Learn about the Amazon, support responsible conservation, reduce waste where you can, and speak up when forests are treated like something disposable.
Small actions matter.
Big teams matter.
And snacks matter, but not as much as trees.
Meeting adjourned.
OOPS: Primal has picked up the table again.
