In The Rainsavers, however, red mercury is very real.
It’s a dense, cherry-red fictional substance capable of interacting with energy at levels that make conventional physics look over its shoulder and quietly leave the room. Under uncontrolled conditions, it can destabilize a facility, disrupt the atmosphere, or make everyone nearby reconsider their career choices.
